Marimba Versions — Vinyl Record (Coming January 15, 2027)

Marimba Versions is a four-track EP centered on the distinctive sound of the marimba.

Taking a different path from Chino Yoshio’s usual piano- and sine-wave-based releases, the EP brings together newly recorded versions of earlier works and new material, reshaped through the resonant wooden tone of the marimba.

Tracklist:

The project grew out of the unexpected response to the marimba arrangement and sheet music for “Blocks.” Rather than simply transferring the pieces to another instrument, Marimba Versions explores how their melodies, rhythms, and spaces change when shaped by the character of the marimba.

Scheduled for release on January 15, 2027. The vinyl edition is currently being prepared for release through ElasticStage.

For the time being, this store does not use the Shopify cart for this release. The “Buy on ElasticStage” button will take you directly to the ElasticStage sales page, where the record can be purchased. This is a temporary arrangement until ElasticStage completes its Shopify integration.

The price shown here is for reference only.

The final selling price will be determined by ElasticStage in GBP, and the equivalent price in Japanese yen may vary depending on the exchange rate.

Listening links, streaming and download links, and notes about the background of the project are collected on the official release page.
